Bridal Trend Spring 2019

The Bride rocks the jumpsuit
Jumpsuits have taken the stage this season. These pantsuits perfectly fit a chic wedding civil ceremony, or they are a good option to change into for the after party bridal outfit and dance the night away. I’ve seen many of them on the runways, I should say most of them give me the seventies vibe, feminine and proud to be, back then there was the trendy Studio 54 and the roller disco, actresses and singers which inspired a new style of clothing glam rock high-waisted, flared, shiny but jumpsuit.

The first appearance of a jumpsuit on a catwalk is dated back to the end of 1910s by Coco Chanel, since then it became a fashion icon, a symbol of female freedom.
The beach pajama styles (read jumpsuit) became quite popular in the 1930s; we should give the credit to Coco Chanel and the famous coastal town of Deauville which inspired the designer the timeless style of jumpsuits.

Closing with one of my favorite wedding outfit, the caped bridal jumpsuit the singer and actress Solange Knowles wore on her wedding day to Alan Ferguson on November 16 2014 ( one of many wedding dress she wore ). Love the vintage glamour touch she added riding a white bicycle to reach the Holy Trinity Church.
