The Backstage
Ever wondered what it’s like the backstage of a shooting with a story a real story.
First thing first, the story it was once in a lifetime family dream came true.
Site inspections with all the team working on the shooting, write a script a detailed timeline, in the beginning it will be just a draft but it will start becoming alive as soon as you discuss your ideas with your partners, other ideas will flow in a “creative anarchy”
Eventually after the initial chaos everything falls into place and you achieved the most detailed script and timeline, back-up plans included, that way everyone knows exactly what to do, where to be and when, and just when you think everything is sorted out, in an amazing summer sunny day, be sure along the way some unexpected adventures.
Be aware of it keep calm and smile. No one’s but the people working with you will ever know what happened behind the curtains.
In a long working day, the chemistry, the harmony between all people working at the same project is the keyword to make everything runs smoothly.
The fact that the shooting took place on an island in the middle of the lake, it makes the logistics a bit more difficult but also more fun for me.
The model was not a real model but a famous etoile who was even better with her natural grace, elegance looking like an angel, the exact effect we wanted.
I was enchanted by two natural born movie stars, the flower girls, I was a bit worried because of the long day, the unknown people they have to pretend to be their beloved parents.
They really surprised me from the moment we styled them up like little princesses, not a tantrum not a whine they knew the scrip better than the adults.
Trust me our princesses know shoes and I am talking about Made in Italy luxury shoes.

Well done to everyone, time to go and getting ready for the most romantic dinner.
For the mise en place, I went at the store of a famous antique dealer, friend of mine I stole few precious and rare pieces I needed and I kidnapped him too. No matter what kind of event is, I'm always looking for original pieces matching the style of the event.
Setting up the table for the newlyweds, two place mats with a pure gold trim, the set of plates are Bavarian porcelain with a pure gold trim and a thin blue stripe, Murano glasses with a golden bubble at the end of the stem, and rare golden candelabras.
